Axis M develops FCSI-approved Consultant Education Sessions on behalf of manufacturer clients. In addition, we also create online services and products in support of FCSI consultant education and form Consultant Advisory Councils (CACs).
Developing FCSI-Approved Consultant Education Sessions
To create FCSI CEU sessions for clients, Axis M undertakes the following:
- Discusses and determines with client personnel which product lines and technologies to incorporate into Educational Session topics that align with specifying foodservice consultants' educational needs and interests
- Acquires, fills out and submits FCSI CEU Session application on behalf of client and ensures application is approved for the expected number of CEUs
- Researches, writes, designs and produces four (4) PowerPoint educational presentations of 1-hour each to qualify participating consultants for FCSI CEUs
- Works with client personnel to determine best dates for hosting the CEU Session(s)
- Identifies, contacts and recruits FCSI-member consultants for scheduled sessions
- Provides contact information to allow client personnel to make transportation, lodging and entertainment arrangements for participating consultants
- Drafts session agenda and liaises with client to ensure all necessary resources (meeting spaces, products for hands-on education, technical personnel) are available during session
- Makes on-site presentations of PowerPoint modules to participating consultants during scheduled session(s)
- Creates and posts a "Recap Quiz" online, promotes to participating consultants, collects findings and analyzes
- Writes summation report from Recap Quiz findings and provides recommendations to improve sessions and presentations for client and FCSI following each CEU session
Online CEU Support Services
To augment relationships between specifying consultants and equipment manufacturing clients, Axis M provides a selection of web-based education support services. These are most often applied after a manufacturer client has hosted one or more FCSI-approved Consultant Education Sessions. However, with FCSI approval, online education tools can also be provided in lieu of prior live sessions to allow consultants to earn credits online. Specifically, Axis M supplies the following services:
- Video direction to create 4-6 edited segments (approx. 60 minutes total) from prior live CEU Session. Posts or facilitate posting of materials on client/Axis M web sites, enabling invited consultants to earn online credits as determined by FCSI
- Development of "internet-only" FCSI-approved PowerPoint CEU sessions with optional voice-over audio, enabling invited consultants to earn online credits as determined by FCSI
- Drafting of articles based on contents of PowerPoint CEU sessions and posting on client/Axis M web sites, allowing consultants who read the online articles and pass the accompanying quizzes to earn FCSI CEU credits
- Creation of FCSI-approved online quizzes based on contents of PowerPoint CEU sessions. Posts quizzes on client/Axis M web sites, administers quizzes and creating personalized results pages. Axis M e-mails quiz results to FCSI, which uses these to credit CEUs to each participating consultant. Axis M/client also e-mail results to participating consultants, to confirm CEU awards
- Through FCSI, Axis M provides pre-posting validation, approval of materials and agreement on the number of CEUs to be earned by consultants who study client-posted educational materials and pass accompanying quizzes
- Along with PowerPoint CEU presentations, articles and quizzes, Axis M posts notice that each self-study program segment is approved by FCSI to earn a predetermined number of CEUs upon successful completion of a quiz
